I have taken my 1st step to aesthetic medicine today. I signed up for an IPL package at an aesthetic clinic.I don't know if it's age or declining collagen production but pimple scars take damn long to heal & best, all residing on my right cheek. Of course, concealer still does wonders & it's well hidden under makeup but when u remove the artifical colourings, u really see that your skin isn't as fab as before.
I went to a clinic at Novena today & the doc was really friendly, explaining to me the difference b/w all the procedures. Ironically, i was told that in our humid climate, moisturizers aren't a necessity & should only be applied when required. All the beauty pdts are causing skin to clog so well, skin gets sensitive & outbreaks occur. Of course, age plays a part as well so declining collagen also causes skin to get dull over time. I grabbed the chance to ask abt wrinkles & thankfully, he told me that i didn't have much over my eyes... maybe the eye creams over the yrs helped. Hahaha, he said that all I need is some Botox around my eyes in couple of yrs down the road & it'll be all "mei mei". I shudder but well, we'll see...
My 1st IPL treatment is next Sat and this will continue for the next 6mths. We'll see if it makes an remarkable difference.
