I am leaving my current job on 11 Dec and starting afresh at a new position, new portfolio. The decision to move wasn't difficult. I already passed my 3 year mark in the current job and really wanted a new challenge. The search for a new position was rather tough. The financial crisis left many people competing for limited positions and just when i was about to throw in the towel, the opportunity came. It was rather ironic frankly... I received some negative news at work and in a sudden, recruiters started calling and i started exploring new options outside... After 2 rounds & a business case, i received an offer. The new role is local based and probably not as "glamourous" as perceived by alot of peers but well, i think there'll be alot of new challenges and late nights. I received a comment today that "i am good at fixing things" so well, let's hope that my value-add in the new role will be easily visible and of course, incremental. I am counting down the days to my 2-week break...
