Result of an 'itchy' hand

We saw that Sunday Times had a section that asked readers to write in showing them pics of their home. Ironically the feature that we saw had someone's kitchen that frankly, wasn't really too tasteful. Since we had some pics of our home, i sent it over and 3 weeks later, Sunday Times called asking to send a photographer over to snap a pix of us in the home. That explains how we got our 1st public appearance...

Definitely filing this... Hahahaha

Huat-ah at the Ongs

I really like this shot for 2 reasons. 1) Everyone looked great & even little Janice was smiling & looking into the camera. 2) It made our home look big!!!!

The 1st 'bouquet' after marriage is...

This was meant to be a surprise & surprise indeed it was. With V day falling on the 1st day of the LNY, the florists remembered to jack up the prices & well, i thank my lucky stars that the man remembered that V day still exists. According to him, this stalk cost $10, equivalent to a meal at Soup Spoon. If he wanted it wrapped in pretty paper, the price increased 3-fold. This is again equivalent to 2 meals at Soup Spoon. Alas, the flower ended up in a pathetic looking clear wrapper, with aluminium folder at the base... What made me chuckle was the analogy of spending money on flowers vs. a meal.

It was queer holding onto this flower along the streets. I'd rather that he saved the money & buy a nicer bouquet another day... At least, it'd be pretty. Shan't complain any longer. This is the 1st 'bouquet' i received as his Mrs.

The house is featured on Stomp!

It's a shocker. A friend of mine alerted me to a STOMP post that featured pictures of our home -http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sgseen/my_space/313388/stylish_home_with_classy_modern_contemporary_theme.html! What happened was we sent 2 photos to an SPH email address, hoping to be featured on The Sunday Times (an attempt to increase the potential resale value of the house) and it landed up on Stomp instead! Not sure if it's because it's not good enough for Sunday Times but the last issue featured a really "obiang" looking kitchen which KL & I thought were "DUH" hence our attempt.

If u look thru the other STOMP postings, all the houses were pretty & very tastefully photographed! Damn, if had known that we'd ever had chance to be on some sort of media, we'd have taken better pics too!
