1 of the rare posed shots with KL smiling & in a suit!!!! I like this pix so much that it's now my wallpaper on my mobile! Snapped at Intercontinental Hotel on 20 Feb 09, KL's cousin's wedding.
Whether it's sunset or sunrise, it really depends on you...

I will be strong
The past 2-3 weeks have been a whirlwind of activities. Alot has been happening on the work & home front. All i know is that i need to be strong & ensure that i do my best.At work, the regional conference & gala dinner is finally over. The preparation work has been overwhelming, draining me night after night. Coming home at 1am & hitting the road again at 630am has kinda drained my mental spirit. All i need is a good rest & some family harmony.
On a brighter note, i finally met up with my regional colleagues and while the job gets more demanding & very often, i feel that i am put thru the mental challenge of racking my brains to think thru stuff, i also take a positive stance that the learning curve while steep, will turn out fruitful. I am thankful that i took time to have brunch with girlfriends & attended a wedding.
On the home front, there are some bumps but i am sure i'll weather thru it. I keep reminding myself to be more objective and take a different perspective on matters. I know i'll be able to do it and the bumpy road (for someone dear) will be over very very very soon. I look forward to the sunlight after dawn. I think that light will shine the brightest then.

Dating a Banker Anonymous
Last week, a friend's hubby forwarded them an article, asking my bunch of g/fs to be more understanding abt the situation i am in. In a hilarious twist, they forwarded it to me & there was this instant "someone out there understands what i am going thru" feeling!
The article 1st appeared in the NYTimes on 27 Jan09, had featured a bunch of ladies whose relationship swings in the direction of the economy. Their partners/ spouses were investment bankers or fund managers & since the days of the Lehman collapse, their relationships have been stressed, just like their man. The article took a humourous stance on describing what these women were going thru - Blackberry as the robber of their partner's life, the markets predict the mood of their man etc.
These ladies also formed a support group Dating a Banker Anonymous(http://www.dabagirls.com/) - which i think i am going to join - to allow them to vent their fustrations to other ladies who know exactly how they feel. I have been reading their blogs & honestly, it's really a stress-reliever. Well, not for the fact that these girls don't have fat allowances or fancy meals but for the fact that they take a quirky expression to relieve their stress. Oh, they refer to their partners as FBF - Finance guy Boyfriend.
If u are keen to read the article on NYTimes: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/28/nyregion/28daba.html?_r=2&%2339;s%20the%20economy=&sq=&st=cse&%2334;=&scp=2&%2334;it=&pagewanted=all
