Dating a Banker Anonymous

Last week, a friend's hubby forwarded them an article, asking my bunch of g/fs to be more understanding abt the situation i am in. In a hilarious twist, they forwarded it to me & there was this instant "someone out there understands what i am going thru" feeling!

The article 1st appeared in the NYTimes on 27 Jan09, had featured a bunch of ladies whose relationship swings in the direction of the economy. Their partners/ spouses were investment bankers or fund managers & since the days of the Lehman collapse, their relationships have been stressed, just like their man. The article took a humourous stance on describing what these women were going thru - Blackberry as the robber of their partner's life, the markets predict the mood of their man etc.

These ladies also formed a support group Dating a Banker Anonymous(http://www.dabagirls.com/) - which i think i am going to join - to allow them to vent their fustrations to other ladies who know exactly how they feel. I have been reading their blogs & honestly, it's really a stress-reliever. Well, not for the fact that these girls don't have fat allowances or fancy meals but for the fact that they take a quirky expression to relieve their stress. Oh, they refer to their partners as FBF - Finance guy Boyfriend.

If u are keen to read the article on NYTimes: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/28/nyregion/28daba.html?_r=2&%2339;s%20the%20economy=&sq=&st=cse&%2334;=&scp=2&%2334;it=&pagewanted=all
